The clinical trials of cosmetics are tests that prove effectiveness and safety by testing them directly on the human body rather than on animals, and are generally conducted with approval from the IRB (Institutional Review Board) designated by the Ministry of Health and Welfare. Clinical trials of cosmetics are structurally the same as the drug clinical trials.
